Teresa Nowak

Musician, choreographer, educator. She studied the Emil Jaques-Dalcroze method in Poland under Marcela Hildebrandt-Pruska (rhythmics and dance), Maria Wieman (early childhood music education), and in England under Elizabeth Vanderspar, Ann Driver, and Ruth Stewart, where she obtained the Licentiate Diploma of the Dalcroze Society London.

She collaborated with the Jaques-Dalcroze Institute in Geneva (with Dominique Porte, Marie Louise Hatt-Arnold, Edith Naef, Liza Parker, and others). She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She has taught rhythmics, movement arts, and teaching methodology at all levels of education – in preschools, primary music schools, the Music School Complex and Ballet School in Poznań, and at the Vocal and Acting Department of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music.

She has collaborated with the 2nd program of Polish Radio (her own program Taka sobie muzyczka) and with children’s theaters and choirs in Poznań, creating stage movement for them. Currently, she conducts lectures and workshops on the EJD method both in Poland and abroad, directing concerts and multimedia events that combine music with dance, words, and visual arts.
