Piotr Mełech

Clarinetist and improviser from the Rzeszów area. He connects with the jazz tradition of the European avant-garde, free improv, ethno and electronica. Co-organizer of the Circular Breathing Festival. He creates music for theater performances, and actively participated in the activities of the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra.

He has recorded / toured, among others with Michael Zerang, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Mark Feldman, Tadeusz Sudnik, Ray Dickaty, Mieczysław Litwiński, Ksawery Wójciński, Jacek Mazurkiewicz, Basco Trilla, Marcin Albert Steczkowski, Jacek Buhl, Jarosław Majewski.

He conducted a series of improvised concerts at the Dragon’s club in Poznań, Triolowe Schedules Yazzdy, and One to One. At last year’s edition of the festival, he presented a series of audiovisual etudes, “Izolacja. Creation. Correlation”.
