Patryk Lichota
Patryk Lichota is a musician, composer, improviser, radio producer and curator. He graduated in cultural studies and musicology at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. He is a PhD student at the Institute of Theater and Media Art in Poznań. He teaches students of the Interactive Media and Performance program and film post-production at the University of Arts in Poznań and at the Academy of Art in Szczecin. He is a member of the HAT Center - a research center of Humanities, Art and Technology, as well as the artistic director and producer of the FRIV improvised music festival. He composes music for theater performances and radio plays, and creates multimedia installations. He composed music for The Case of Josephine H. (2014), Pocizny, 16 (2017), Hybrydy (2018) by Izabela Gustowska and Kasper Piasecki’s Transandino i Pierogarnia. He created the Fonoleptic video project, he is the author of the concept of performances, theater projects and installations. Together with Marta Romaszkan, he is developing FRIV MOVE, a project devoted to improvised music and dance. For 9 years he has been running Audiosfera, a radio broadcast about contemporary music on Radio Afera. He is the author of the book “Tradycje hałasu w sztuce dźwięku.”
